The aim of this policy is to reduce injuries, ill health and other unnecessary losses and liability and to protect our workforce, subcontractors and the general public from hazards that may be involved in our work.
We are committed to securing the safety of all, and we will provide the necessary resources, structures and procedures, which are required to honour that commitment.
We accept that Health & Safety is a management responsibility and holds equal importance to production and quality. All those who authorise work must ensure the Safety and Health of all those involved, directly and indirectly.
We recognize the important contribution that employees can make to the implementation of this policy and therefore are committed to maintaining effective communications of Health and Safety matters taking into account any representations made by them.
A copy of the Safety Statement will be held wherever the Company is carrying out work and will be available to all employees, main contractors, sub-contractors and visitors.
Training
TAB International provide such training as required by the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 2005 to safeguard the Safety, Health and Welfare of employees.
Employees are given safety training on various aspects of Construction site safety as required.
All employees undergo site induction training in accordance with site rules. They also undergo FAS Safe Pass Training.
A competent person will carry out toolbox talks regularly.
All new employees receive instruction on safe working systems and instruction in correct use of tools and equipment.
